Most of us know what is Lex and Yacc. As Lex makes use of regular expression to identify keywords and Yacc helps in defining the grammar for the required language, it becomes very easy to build a language. Once the grammar is defined, It becomes easy to implement the other properties of the language like syntax checking, colouring the keywords, brace matching and the intellisense.
